1. General information
I got 15 days tourist visa on arrival at Dhaka airport for free of charge. It is not much interesting places to see in this country. Only Indian land border open for foreigners. Many dust on the street and towns. Most people are Muslims and their weekend is Friday and Saturday.

2. Climate
Summer (June-September) is rainy season at most part of Bangladesh. Winter time is nice season at most part of Bangladesh. April and May is hottest season.

4. Road and traffic
The road condition is good at main road otherwise bad. Not so many cars on the road. But long distance bus and trucks drive terrible dangerous. They always make terrible big horn! I do not know why police do not control these bad drivers.

5. Dangerous (be careful for…)
Traffic accidents…many bad bus drivers.

6. Transportation for cyclists
Cross the big river by ferry is easy to put bike.

7. Accommodation
It is easy to find guest house at city. They give me quite good room for foreigner.

8. food
Food in Bangladesh is similar with Indian food. It is sometimes very spicy. They eat by right hand but if you want, they will give you spoon.

9. How to get drinking water
I could get free drinking water from restaurant. It is usually safe! but it is sometimes bad taste.

10. Money
It is easy to change local money from US dollar, Euro or other currency. ATM is available.

11 Internet
It cost about 0.3 US dollar.

12. Cost
1USdollar=70 Taka
cheap Hotel(single):3-5 US dollar (single with toilet), Local food(chicken byryani):1 US dollar,

13. Good bike shop

I could not find any good bike shop at all.

14. next destination

excite tax 300 taka (4 Us dollar) at land border

rencontre de cyclovoyageurs et interview
quand je suis revenu de yangon vers bangkok ; j ai rencontre quelques personnes sympas ( miss Orasa, Wan et Mou, les parents d Onozaki, Gilles..photo de gauche)
Madame Orasa , qui est journaliste au magazine le plus populaire de thailande(Preew), nous a interviewe . Wan et mou sont des tourdumondistes thailandais qui ont voyage a velo de 2001a 2007, Moinsieur Onozaki est journaliste au magazine economique de Bangkok, Gilles Alberty est un cyclovoyageur , il roule depuis 10 ans a travers le monde ,il rentre d un voyage de 13 mois de russie a la nouvelle zelande ; auparavant il a traverse tout le continent americain de l alaska a la terre de feu , et aussi de france a l asie centrale en passant par l afrique du nord , mais aussi l europe de l est , le chili et l argentine . de retour en france pour quelques mois, il pense repartir pour un an sur le continent africain
, m a egalement interviewe . c est genial de pouvoir echanger et partager nos differentes experiences avec toutes ces personnes

Cycling Information-Myanmar

1. General information
I got tourist visa at Bangkok cost me about 25 US dollar. Journalists can not get visa. It is possible cross land bordar between Thailand and Myanmar, China and Myanmar. But it is prohibid to cycle from landborder to main part of Myanmar. It is possible to fly or get special tourist permission cost expensive.

2. Climate
May-September is rainy season at most part of Myanmar.

3. Highlight
Buddhist’s temples. Bagan, Mandalay,

4. Road and traffic
The road condition is good only main road route 1, otherwise very bad road condition. Not so many cars on the road, so it is quite safe to cycle.

5. Dangerous (be careful for…)

It is problem to go to remote area against police. Many local dogs are not aggressive.

6. Transportation for cyclists
It is easy to put bicycle on the bus. They charge for bicycle. The price is little bit less than one person cost.

7. Accommodation
It is easy to find guest house at tourist place. But it is very difficult at small city. Most hostels in small city does not have permission to accept foreigners.

8. food
Food in Myanmar are mostly very oily. Many small restaurant are in the town and it cost not expensive.

9. How to get drinking water
I could get free drinking water from guest house.

10. Money
It is easy to change local money from US dollar at big city from local changers. ATM is not available.

11 Internet

It cost about 0.5 US dollar at city. The connection is very slow and hotmail.com and yahoo.com do not work.

12. Cost

1 US dollar is about 1070 Myanmar kyat. It is market price and not official rate. I change money from changer man at big market in Yangon.

13. bike shop

Many bike shops sells Chinese cheap bicycle and spare parts. You should bring your own spare parts.

14. next destination

I bought return air ticket between Bangkok and Yangon cost about 150 US dollar. Air Asia is cheapest Air plane, but poor service and they charge to my bike and unfriendly stuffs and manager.

タイからの航空券が意外と安く、ミャンマー行きを決めました。空路出入国で約15000円でした。陸路でもタイと中国から入国できるようですが、国境地点から内陸までが通行不可か許可が必要で、その区間を飛行機で移動すると結構な金額になります。

雨期のミャンマーは毎日雲が流れ時折大雨が降ります。、道路はガタガタのアスファルトが続き、日本製の中古のバスやトラックや自動車が走っています。自動車は右側通行なのにバスのドアは左しか開かないというへんな状況です。人々は腰から下には布をまいたようなものを着て、足はゴムぞうりをはき 何となく日本の江戸時代のようなスタイルで町を行きかっています。 物は豊富であまり最貧国という感じではありません。しかし停電はしょっちゅう起こります。人々は外国人に対し親切で平和的な感じを受けました。
この国ではヤフーとほっとメイルは開きません。
